Made by the community on Manga Maker

Create a single-page romantic manga/comic illustration telling a continuous story of a young couple spending a day together. The girl is cute, she has tanned skin like olive color, she is Latina, she has beautiful sparkly eyes shaped like almond and long lashes. Her eyes are dark brown but they shine a lot. Her hair is very long and wavy curly in very black color she has bangs on her forhead. She has a hourglass shape and very pretty body. Good size boobs and hips and butt, small waist. But her body looks elegant and classy. She looks like thin but with curves. She is not very tall. Her face shape is more like a bit longer but cute. Dress her with a pink dress that covers her chest well, no cleavage. He on the other side is very tanned, has short dark hair that kind of spikes or curls at the front. He has a pretty smile. His eyes are lighter dark brown and shaped more open. He has huge muscles. He is not tall. He is barely taller than her. He has a kind and warm face. He is wearing a black shirt with jeans. The story flows naturally from one moment into the next: they play Tekken together at a colorful arcade, laughing and playfully competing. She is laughing because he never wins and his face is focused to win; later, the boyfriend cooks chicken curry for his girlfriend in their kitchen while she watches him and hugs him from behind. He asks how it smells but she smells him and says hmm you smell good so he laughs ; later that night, they sit together on a wooden bridge over a large peaceful pond beneath a star-filled night sky, sitting close and talking about God for hours. They share about faith and God’s love Finally, they walk home together under the stars, each holding an ice cream, still talking and laughing together. He complains that her ice cream always tastes better. The overall feeling should be that these simple, ordinary moments are becoming precious memories of their life together. Warm, intimate, playful, romantic atmosphere. Manga storytelling, expressive body language, cinematic composition, detailed backgrounds, and consistent characters throughout the entire page.
### VII. The main cast

The sequel needs characters who challenge Elias's assumptions, not merely help him discover his powers. We should make the human drama strong enough that the story remains compelling even before a Titan appears.

These are provisional character foundations. Their relationships and final designs can evolve as the chronology develops.

Elias Voss, the Vessel

Age: 17 • Civilian apprentice mechanic

Elias repairs industrial pumps and railway equipment in a Veyran border town. He is observant, stubborn and protective of the people around him, but he has no particular desire to become a hero.

He has grown up watching governments sacrifice ordinary people for strategic objectives. He distrusts military authority, yet he is fascinated by machines because they follow rules that people often refuse to follow.

Inner conflict: Elias believes a person should be judged by their own choices. Eren's memories threaten to make him question whether his choices truly belong to him.

Critical rule: Elias is not Eren pretending to be a new boy. His personality, relationships and decisions are genuinely his own.

Dr. Mara Senn, the Researcher

Age: 32 • Meridian biological researcher

Mara is part of the expedition that uncovers Mnemonic Matter. She believes scientific discoveries should be independently verified, but her laboratory depends on military funding.

She initially treats Elias as a possible neurological case. When the evidence begins contradicting her own findings, she must choose between protecting her career and exposing the experiment that helped trigger the crisis.

Inner conflict: She wants the truth, but she fears what happens when the truth becomes a weapon.

Commander Adrian Vale, the Custodian

Age: 46 • Directorate intelligence

Vale oversees a classified programme investigating historical Titan phenomena. He is neither a fanatic nor a sadist. He believes the survival of millions sometimes requires decisions that individuals cannot morally accept.

His orders eventually lead him towards Elias.

Inner conflict: Vale fears the return of Titan power so deeply that he is prepared to create the conditions for its return in order to ensure his nation controls it first.

Nera Sol, the Witness

Age: 19 • Veyran field medic

Nera treats casualties from the first border engagements. She sees the cost of the war before the political leaders who initiated it ever have to confront the consequences.

She becomes Elias's closest connection to the human reality of the conflict. She does not care whether the old Titan legends are true until their consequences begin appearing among her patients.

Inner conflict: She wants to save people, but Elias's growing ability to interfere with death threatens the meaning she has built around survival, grief and letting people go.

### The legacy characters

Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and the other figures from the original story should not all appear immediately.

Their absence is important.

We will first encounter them through damaged records, contradictory accounts, memorials and memories. When one of them finally returns through the Paths, the appearance must matter to the plot and to Elias's understanding of himself.

I propose that Armin's memories are among the first recognisable traces Elias encounters, but Armin himself should not be the first person fully resurrected. We need to earn that moment.

Mikasa's legacy should remain especially delicate. Her life and final act in the original ending must not be reduced to a mechanism for bringing Eren back. Her choice mattered precisely because she could love Eren and still accept that he had to die.

That truth should become a central moral challenge for Elias.

### VIII. The major twist: the nations already knew

This needs to be the sequel's most carefully prepared revelation.

The twist should not be that every government has secretly possessed Titans for centuries. That would make the world's history feel artificial and would diminish the significance of the original ending.

Instead, the truth is more disturbing.

The rival nations have been preparing for the return of the Titans because each inherited a different piece of evidence that the others do not possess.

They do not share a complete theory. They do not trust one another. And some of their most important conclusions are wrong.

### The three pieces of the secret

CLUE ONE

The Directorate's missing report

An intelligence archive contains testimony describing biological structures that reacted to a person's presence rather than to conventional physical stimuli. The report was classified because it could not be independently verified.

Vale's superiors have quietly maintained a contingency plan for a phenomenon they publicly insist no longer exists.

CLUE TWO

Asteria's forbidden shipping ledger

An old maritime ledger records a series of secret transfers between research institutions during an earlier period of political tension. The cargo descriptions were falsified, but the dates correspond to unexplained disappearances of historical specimens.

Asteria believes the Directorate has been hiding a biological weapon. It does not know that some of the material was never a weapon in the conventional sense.

CLUE THREE

Meridian's original research charter

Meridian's oldest institutional records contain a peculiar clause: certain discoveries concerning inherited biological memory must be reported to a designated military authority, regardless of the researcher's citizenship.

The clause predates the modern Union. Nobody can explain why it was included, and its author is missing from the surviving records.

### The reveal

These clues eventually point to a secret historical agreement formed after an earlier series of discoveries.

Its provisional name is the Ash Covenant.

The Covenant was not a single organisation that controlled the world. It was an emergency arrangement between competing governments, established after each independently encountered evidence suggesting that the Titan phenomenon might not have ended in the way history claimed.

The parties agreed to three things:

* Preserve the most dangerous records outside public institutions.

* Prevent any one nation from obtaining an exclusive advantage from the discoveries.

* Prepare contingency plans in case the phenomenon returned.

The agreement gradually became distorted. New governments inherited its restrictions without understanding the original evidence. Some agencies began treating contingency research as a race for supremacy. Others concealed information because they believed disclosure would cause panic or provoke war.

By 399 A.E., the Covenant's original purpose has been almost entirely lost.

Its members are now competing to solve a problem they helped keep secret.

And when the first anomalous events occur, each government interprets them as evidence that a rival has already made a breakthrough.

This makes the war more dangerous: the Titan crisis is not simply arriving during a global conflict. The conflict is already being shaped by the fear of the Titans returning.

### The deeper twist

Later, we discover that the Covenant's earliest surviving document does not describe a weapon, a specimen or a research programme.

It describes a warning.

The warning was written before the modern nations existed. It predicts neither an exact date nor a particular boy. Instead, it describes a recurring pattern: when human beings attempt to exploit the ancient network, its activity begins to increase.

The document's final line has been partially destroyed.

Only a fragment remains:

“When the dead are called to serve the living, the living will inherit…”

We should not complete that sentence too early.

The reader will initially assume it warns of the resurrection cost. Much later, its real meaning may prove to be about something larger: the way the memories and choices of the dead can begin governing the decisions of the living.

### IX. The foreshadowing ledger

A major twist is only satisfying when the clues were present before the reveal. We should keep a continuity ledger to prevent accidental contradictions and make sure every clue has a purpose.

| Early clue | Initial interpretation | Later meaning |
| ------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Elias sketches unfamiliar branching paths | A recurring nightmare | His mind is responding to the network |
| Meridian's experiments produce synchronised brain activity | Experimental contamination | The first measurable reconnection to the Paths |
| The Directorate maintains a dormant containment protocol | Military bureaucracy | The government has inherited evidence of a possible Titan return |
| Asteria's shipping records contain falsified cargo descriptions | Corruption or espionage | Earlier nations secretly transferred unexplained biological material |
| Elias knows where an explosion will occur | Trauma or coincidence | A memory from Eren's life overlaps with his present |
| An old report describes a structure reacting to a person's presence | An unreliable historical account | The ancient phenomenon was never purely passive |
| A returned figure remembers an event from after their death | A resurrection anomaly | The Paths may connect memories beyond ordinary chronology |
| The Covenant's warning is incomplete | Lost historical detail | The most important danger concerns the living inheriting the dead's unfinished conflicts |

These clues should not all be explained in one chapter. Some will be separated by entire arcs, and a few will initially appear unrelated.

We should also allow characters to draw the wrong conclusions for understandable reasons. A clue is more interesting when it can support more than one interpretation until further evidence arrives.

### X. The long-form story structure

The story should grow from a grounded war drama into a supernatural tragedy. The Titans should arrive late enough that their return changes the genre of the story rather than simply fulfilling its premise.

Arc I: The World Before the Monster

Foundation and escalation

We follow Elias's ordinary life, the growing war, the lives of civilians and the political decisions that bring the nations into conflict. Meridian's excavation begins in the background. The supernatural remains ambiguous.

Arc ending: Elias experiences a memory that no living person could have transmitted to him.

Arc II: The Mnemonic Project

Discovery and concealment

Mara investigates the experimental anomalies. Vale receives reports from intelligence sources. Elias's dreams become more specific, but his identity remains his own.

Arc ending: A classified document links Meridian's findings to the old Titan era.

Arc III: The War of Certainty

Espionage and paranoia

The major powers begin interpreting the scientific anomalies as evidence of enemy weapons programmes. Espionage, sabotage and retaliatory attacks intensify. Elias is drawn into events without understanding why he matters.

Arc ending: The first undeniable biological event occurs, but no one agrees on what it means.

Arc IV: The First Return

Horror and moral consequence

Elias unknowingly establishes a connection to the dead. The first apparent resurrection is incomplete, terrifying and costly. The reader learns that returning a person is not the same as restoring a life.

Arc ending: Someone recognises the returned figure, and the historical implications cannot be concealed.

Arc V: The Titans of the New Age

Military catastrophe

Nations confront the reality of the Titan power in a world equipped to fight it. Military technology can inflict tremendous damage, but the connection to the Paths complicates every victory. Elias begins to understand the identity carried within him.

Arc ending: The war's original political objectives are overtaken by the struggle to control, destroy or exploit the returning power.

Arc VI: The Ash Covenant

Historical revelation

The rival nations' archives finally converge. The Covenant's purpose, the limits of their knowledge and the consequences of centuries of secrecy are revealed. Eren's memories become clearer, but Elias's own identity is endangered.

Arc ending: The apparent solution to the war would recreate the very conditions that allowed the Titan era to become a catastrophe.

Arc VII: The Continuous Cycle

Identity, freedom and final choice

Elias must decide what to do with the power that could end the immediate conflict. The returning dead have their own motives. Eren's memories do not necessarily agree with Elias's conscience. Humanity's survival may require surrendering the very power that could save it.

Arc ending: The cycle reaches a decision, not merely another battle.

These are structural destinations, not a demand to race through seven arcs. Each one may contain many chapters. We should let the characters and evidence determine the pace.

### XI. The rules of continuity

To keep the sequel coherent, these principles are now part of our working story bible.

1\. The original ending stands. Eren dies, Mikasa's choice remains meaningful, and the Titan powers disappear as the original story establishes. Their later return requires a new causal mechanism.

2\. Elias is his own person. He does not begin with Eren's complete memories, powers, motives or knowledge. His identity must develop through experience and choice.

3\. The world war has independent causes. Resource competition, alliances, military planning and political failures create the conflict. The Titans intensify it rather than retroactively causing every historical event.

4\. No nation knows everything. Each faction possesses partial evidence and competing interpretations. The conspiracy works through fragmented knowledge, institutional inertia and fear, not universal coordination.

5\. Technology has limits. Armies depend on fuel, transport, communication and supply. Scientific breakthroughs require time, resources, verification and human labour.

6\. Resurrection is not a free reset. It costs Elias, affects others connected to the network and creates moral consequences that cannot simply be undone.

7\. Memories are not perfect explanations. Eren's memories can reveal events and feelings, but they cannot automatically explain four centuries of history or tell Elias what he should do.

8\. Every major revelation has prior evidence. The story may mislead the reader, but it should not rely on information invented at the last moment to make a twist work.

9\. The dead are characters, not weapons. Anyone who returns must possess some degree of agency. Their loyalty to Elias is not automatic, and their experience of death matters.

10\. The central theme is freedom under inheritance. The question is not simply whether Elias can stop the war. It is whether he can choose a future without allowing the past to dictate every action.

### XII. What we should develop next

Before writing the opening chapter, I recommend that we complete the pre-war chronology of 360–399 A.E. This is where the world becomes convincing: the treaties that fail, the industrial discoveries that change military planning, the decisions that make escalation seem reasonable, and the secret research programmes that unknowingly converge.

We should then establish Elias's family, home, work, friendships and ordinary routines before anything supernatural happens to him. When his first memory finally surfaces, the reader should care about the boy whose life it disrupts.

The Titans can wait.

The first true horror is a world in which millions of ordinary people are preparing to kill one another, while a handful of powerful institutions are quietly preparing for the return of something they cannot understand.

And beneath all of it, something ancient has begun to remember.
The girl: cute Latina with warm olive-tan skin, beautiful sparkly almond-shaped dark-brown eyes, long eyelashes, and very long, thick, wavy-curly black hair with bangs across her forehead. She has a petite, elegant hourglass figure with a small waist and feminine curves. Good size boobs and waist but very classy and elegant. She is not very tall. Her face is slightly long-shaped but soft and cute. She wears a pretty pink dress with a modest neckline and full chest coverage, elegant and feminine.

The boy: very tanned skin, short dark hair with slightly spiky/curly hair at the front, warm dark-brown eyes that are more open in shape, a beautiful smile, and a muscular build but not buff, more like skinny fit with Specially big biceps but not super extra. He is not tall and is only slightly taller than her. His face is kind, warm, and gentle. He wears a simple black shirt with jeans.

The story flows naturally from one moment into the next: First, they are at a colorful arcade playing Tekken together. They are both holding controllers the old school machines not controllers and completely focused on the game. She is laughing because he almost never wins, while he is intensely concentrating and determined to finally beat her. She torts at him “ahah I won again!” And he replies “just wait!”

Later, they are at home in their kitchen. He is cooking chicken curry for her while she watches. She comes up behind him and hugs him while he cooks. He asks her, “How does it smell?” She playfully smells him instead and says, “Hmm… you smell good.” He laughs and says “hey the chicken not me”

Later that night, they sit together on a wooden bridge over a large, peaceful pond beneath a beautiful star-filled sky. They sit close together and talk for hours about God, faith, and God’s love, sharing their thoughts and dreams with each other. The atmosphere is peaceful and deeply connected.

Finally, they walk home together underneath the stars, each holding an ice cream. They are still talking and laughing. He jokingly complains that her ice cream always tastes better and she says I know the best and he says it’s not fair

No jewelry on them at all. The overall feeling should be that these simple, ordinary moments are becoming precious memories of their life together. Very romantic, soft, warm, wholesome, intimate, playful, and nostalgic. Beautiful manga artwork, expressive faces and body language, cinematic composition, detailed environments, soft lighting, and strong visual storytelling. Make the characters’ appearances consistent in every moment. I want for it to look very romantic and soft, very beautiful and classy anime style but not silly cartoon child anime style. I want romantic soft and mature anime drawing style. Very soft and delicate drawing style.
THE LAST READER

PAGE 1 — THE WORLD THAT KNOWS

Page purpose: Establish the Archive, the importance of Stories, and the unnatural normality of this world without explaining the entire system.

Panel count: 6

---

PANEL 1 — WIDE ESTABLISHING SHOT

Full-width horizontal panel.

The upper portion of the page.

An enormous section of the Central Archive.

Rows upon rows of perfectly aligned bookshelves disappear into the distance.

The architecture is clean, symmetrical, and almost impossibly precise.

Tiny human figures can be seen walking between the shelves.

Noah is not identifiable here.

CAPTION:

«Every human life is a finished story.»

No dialogue.

No sound effect.

---

PANEL 2 — THE SCALE

Large vertical panel.

The camera moves deeper into the Archive.

A single archivist walks past the camera carrying a stack of books.

The person is tiny compared with the shelves surrounding them.

Every book is identical in size and design.

Each spine carries a person's name.

We can make out several ordinary names, but none should be important yet.

The archivist doesn't look impressed.

This is routine work.

No dialogue.

---

PANEL 3 — THE READER

Medium panel.

A woman stands at a shelf.

She removes a Story.

She opens it.

Her expression is completely ordinary.

She reads a page.

Nothing dramatic happens.

Another person walks past behind her carrying several Stories.

The important visual idea:

People treat entire human lives like ordinary books.

No dialogue.

---

PANEL 4 — THE ARCHIVIST

Medium horizontal panel.

An archivist places a Story carefully onto a shelf.

Close enough to see the standardized book spine.

The name on it:

ELIAS VENN

The archivist checks the shelf number.

Places the book exactly where it belongs.

No hesitation.

No emotion.

SFX:

«THK»

A quiet sound as the book settles into place.

---

PANEL 5 — INFINITE STORIES

Large wide panel.

Pull the camera extremely far back.

The people become almost invisible.

The shelves now dominate the entire image.

Thousands of Stories.

Then tens of thousands.

Then what appears to be an endless sea of books disappearing into darkness.

The geometry is almost unnervingly perfect.

CAPTION:

«We stopped asking who wrote them three hundred years ago.»

No dialogue.

---

PANEL 6 — THE HUMAN FIGURE

Small final panel at the bottom of the page.

A tiny person stands alone between two enormous shelves.

Their back is toward us.

They hold a Story in both hands.

We cannot identify them.

The surrounding shelves disappear into darkness above them.

There is a huge amount of white/negative space around the figure.

No dialogue.

No caption.

No sound effect.

The reader should sit with the image for a moment.

---

PAGE COMPOSITION

Panels 1–5 should progressively move from:

WORLD → PEOPLE → BOOK → SCALE → INFINITY

Panel 6 then brings the focus back to:

ONE HUMAN.

That contrast establishes the central idea visually:

«Every person is only one Story among millions.»

And we still haven't told the reader what a Story actually contains.

PAGE 1 ENDS.

The boy: very tanned skin, short dark hair with slightly spiky/curly hair at the front, warm dark-brown eyes that are more open in shape, a beautiful smile, and a muscular build. Specially big biceps but not super extra.

PANEL 1 — FULL WIDTH ESTABLISHING PANEL (Top of page)
Scene: A grand but modest royal bedchamber. Stone walls with faded tapestry. Heavy velvet curtains half-drawn, pale morning light cutting diagonally across the room. An enormous canopy bed dominates the left side — its pillows and blankets disheveled from three days of coma sleep. The room feels still, slightly cold, abandoned.
Rieto sits upright in the center of the bed — a tiny silver-haired five-year-old figure swallowed by the massive mattress. His white sleeping robe is rumpled. His silver-gray hair is messy and tangled. His blue-gray eyes are half-open, hazy, staring at nothing.
Mood: Disorientation. The silence of someone waking into a life they half-remember.
Screentone: Heavy gradient shadow on ceiling and left wall. Fine dot tone across bedding. Sharp diagonal light beam from curtain gap hitting the floor.
Caption box top left:

"I think I had a weird dream. A gray world. A company. A computer."
Caption box below:

"But that was me. And this... is also me."

PANEL 2 — MEDIUM PANEL (Left side, second row)
Scene: Rieto's hands held up in front of his face — tiny, pale, five-year-old hands. He opens and closes them slowly, studying them with quiet intensity. His expression is calm but deeply focused — a philosopher in a child's body.
Mood: The uncanny moment of realizing you inhabit a different form. Quiet and unsettling.
Screentone: Fine cross-hatch tone on the bed sheets behind his hands. Sharp ink on finger lines and knuckles. Light radiating softly from the window catches his fingertips.
Inner monologue bubble:

"Small hands. This body. Five years old."
Second inner monologue bubble below:

"...The line between dream-me and real-me is still blurry."

PANEL 3 — WIDE HORIZONTAL PANEL (Right side, second row)
Scene: Rieto climbs down from the oversized bed — his small feet dangling over the edge before dropping to the stone floor with a soft thud. The bed towers behind him, making him look even smaller. He lands in a shaft of morning light. His robe pools slightly at his feet, too long for his frame.
Mood: First steps. Literally and metaphorically. Slightly comedic in scale contrast.
Screentone: Strong shadow cast by the bed frame over the floor. Fine dot tone on sleeping robe fabric folds. Speed line suggestion around his landing feet.
No dialogue. Let the visual breathe.

PANEL 4 — DRAMATIC VERTICAL PANEL (Full height, right third of page)
Scene: Rieto stands directly in front of a tall ornate standing mirror — gold-framed, slightly tarnished, reflecting the dim room behind him. He stares at his own reflection with wide, serious blue-gray eyes.
Visual focus: Two Rietos — the real boy on the left side of panel, and his reflection on the right — creating a visual metaphor for two lives, two selves, two memories existing in one small body. The reflection is slightly brighter, sharper.
His silver-gray hair catches the light. His face is soft, pretty, delicate — long lashes, small nose, slightly droopy eyes. He looks like a porcelain doll examining itself.
Mood: Identity confrontation. Quiet wonder mixed with mild existential confusion.
Screentone: Deep gradient shadow fills the room behind him. Fine screentone on mirror frame details. Strong white highlight lines on his hair.
Inner monologue bubble (beside reflection):

"Gray hair. Blue-gray eyes. Long lashes."
Inner monologue bubble below:

"...I'm quite the pretty toddler."
Small beat panel insert bottom right corner — tiny Rieto expression close-up, one eyebrow slightly raised, mouth curving into the faintest satisfied smile.
Caption box bottom:

"The dream-me was probably nothing special. But this me... has potential."
Beautiful manga artwork, expressive faces and body language, cinematic composition, detailed environments, soft lighting, and strong visual storytelling. I want romantic soft and mature anime drawing style.
TITLE: WHEN DREAMS FADE
Japanese Title: 「夢が消える時」
Genre: Romance, Supernatural, Drama, Mystery, Psychological, Tragedy

STORY OVERVIEW:

"When Dreams Fade" is a psychological supernatural romance about two young people who meet by chance on social media and slowly discover that their connection transcends reality itself.

The story follows IZUMI KAWAZAI, a quiet and somewhat lonely young Japanese man who spends most of his nights scrolling through social media. One night, he notices a post made by a mysterious girl named TSUKI AMAMI.

Izumi leaves a sarcastic comment without expecting anything.

A few minutes later, Tsuki replies:

"Your comment is stupid."

Izumi smiles and answers:

"And you replied to it, so I guess we're even."

A simple conversation begins.

One message becomes another.

Short conversations become hours of talking.

Over time, Izumi and Tsuki become inseparable despite living thousands of kilometers apart. They share photographs, memories, childhood stories, fears, dreams and secrets.

Neither of them realizes that the word "dream" will eventually become the most dangerous word in their relationship.

One night, Izumi falls asleep.

When he opens his eyes, he is standing inside an impossible city.

The sky is dark violet.

A gigantic purple moon hangs above empty buildings.

The streets are covered with shallow water reflecting the sky.

Enormous clocks float above the city, but their hands move backwards.

There are no people.

No sunlight.

No end.

Then Izumi hears footsteps.

He turns around.

A girl is standing in the distance.

Long dark hair moves with the wind.

He recognizes her immediately.

"Tsuki?"

The girl raises her head in shock.

"Izumi?"

Both wake up in their separate bedrooms.

The following morning, Izumi sends Tsuki a message:

"Did you have a strange dream last night?"

After a long pause, Tsuki replies:

"A city under a purple moon?"

From that night onward, every time they fall asleep, they enter the same mysterious dream world.

They name it NØX.

NØX is not an ordinary dream.

It is an endless supernatural world created from dreams, memories, emotions and lost souls.

The environment changes constantly.

Entire cities appear based on forgotten memories.

Oceans float in the sky.

Rain falls upward.

Buildings disappear overnight.

Time does not move normally.

Inside NØX, the distance separating Izumi and Tsuki in reality no longer exists.

They explore the impossible world together.

They walk through empty streets.

They sit on rooftops beneath the enormous purple moon.

They visit places created from their childhood memories.

They walk through rain without becoming wet.

Their friendship slowly becomes love.

One night, Izumi gently holds Tsuki's hand for the first time.

In reality, thousands of kilometers separate them.

But inside NØX, there is no distance.

Tsuki eventually tells Izumi:

"Sometimes I feel like this place is more real than our actual lives."

Izumi answers:

"Maybe because we're here together."

However, after several months, NØX begins changing.

Cracks appear in the sky.

Buildings disappear.

Dark shadows begin moving through empty streets.

Then Izumi and Tsuki encounter a mysterious man.

He is tall and wears a long black coat.

But he has no face.

Where his face should be, there is only endless darkness.

He introduces himself as THE GUARDIAN.

The Guardian tells them:

"You were never supposed to meet."

He explains that Izumi and Tsuki are breaking an ancient law.

Two souls from different worlds cannot remain connected inside NØX for too long.

Every night they spend together makes returning to reality more difficult.

At first, they refuse to believe him.

But strange things begin happening in reality.

Izumi starts sleeping for extremely long periods.

Sometimes he wakes up without remembering where he is.

Tsuki begins losing memories.

First she forgets small things.

Then important moments.

Eventually she loses an entire day from her life.

They confront the Guardian again.

He finally reveals the truth.

NØX is a world between reality and dreams.

It is created from dreams, memories and souls that never found their way back.

Every soul that enters NØX is supposed to return to its original world.

But Izumi and Tsuki have created something extremely rare.

Their souls have become connected.

A SOUL BOND.

Their connection is so powerful that even when they try to avoid each other, they continue being pulled back into NØX.

They decide to stop meeting.

They stop messaging.

They try sleeping at different times.

They attempt to forget each other.

But after several days, Izumi falls asleep and wakes up inside NØX.

Tsuki is already there.

She is crying.

"Why are you here?" she asks.

Izumi quietly answers:

"I was about to ask you the same thing."

Tsuki whispers:

"I tried to escape."

Izumi says:

"Me too."

She looks at him.

"Even when I don't want to see you... my world brings me back to you."

Suddenly, enormous glowing words appear in the sky:

SOUL BOND

The Guardian returns and reveals the cruel truth.

Their souls are now connected between reality and the dream world.

But the connection is unstable.

The stronger their love becomes, the more NØX begins collapsing.

They are given two choices.

FIRST CHOICE:

Break the Soul Bond.

Both Izumi and Tsuki will return to normal life.

But every memory of each other will disappear forever.

They will become strangers again.

SECOND CHOICE:

Continue their relationship.

But eventually, one of their souls will become permanently trapped inside NØX.

Izumi refuses both choices.

He says:

"We will find a third way."

The Guardian replies:

"Every lover believes they can change the laws of the world."

Time passes.

Izumi and Tsuki decide that they can no longer allow distance to control their relationship.

They decide to meet in reality for the first time.

They choose a location.

They choose a date.

They count the days.

Izumi packs his bag.

Tsuki prepares for the meeting.

For the first time, their impossible dream is about to become reality.

But the night before their meeting, Izumi falls asleep.

He wakes inside NØX.

Something is wrong.

The entire dream world is dying.

Buildings collapse.

The ocean rises into the sky.

The streets split apart.

The enormous purple moon breaks into two pieces.

The Guardian is waiting.

He says:

"The time has come."

Izumi refuses to abandon Tsuki.

Then Tsuki suddenly appears.

The Guardian explains:

"You tried to make the dream become reality."

He pauses.

"And now someone must pay the price."

A single glowing portal appears.

The Guardian explains that only one person can return to reality.

One soul must remain inside NØX forever.

Izumi and Tsuki desperately search for another solution.

But there is none.

While Tsuki searches for a way to save them both, Izumi quietly approaches the Guardian.

He asks:

"If one person stays here... will the other survive?"

The Guardian remains silent.

Then answers:

"Yes."

Izumi understands.

He looks at Tsuki.

He remembers everything.

Their first message.

Their first conversation.

The first night inside NØX.

Their first time holding hands.

Every moment beneath the purple moon.

He realizes what he must do.

The world continues collapsing.

The portal begins closing.

Tsuki grabs Izumi's hand.

"I'm not going without you."

Izumi smiles peacefully.

"Tsuki..."

"What?"

"Were you happy with me?"

Tsuki begins crying.

"What kind of question is that? Of course I was happy."

Izumi looks at her for a long moment.

"Then that's enough."

Tsuki suddenly realizes his intention.

"No... Izumi, don't do this."

His fingers slowly begin slipping from her hand.

She desperately holds him.

"I won't let you go!"

Izumi looks at the collapsing world.

Then back at Tsuki.

He says:

"I was always afraid that our relationship was just a dream."

He gently touches her face.

"But then I realized something."

Tsuki asks through tears:

"What?"

Izumi smiles.

"Even if it was a dream... you were the most beautiful thing that ever happened inside it."

Izumi pushes Tsuki toward the portal.

She screams his name.

"IZUMI!"

The portal closes.

NØX disappears into darkness.

Tsuki wakes up inside her bedroom.

Morning sunlight enters through the window.

Everything appears normal.

She immediately searches for Izumi on her phone.

Nothing.

No messages.

No photographs.

No social media account.

No trace of his existence.

It is as if Izumi Kawazai never existed.

Years pass.

Tsuki continues living her life.

But she constantly feels that something is missing.

Someone important.

Someone her mind cannot remember.

But her heart refuses to forget.

Many years later, Tsuki falls asleep.

When she opens her eyes, she is standing inside NØX once again.

The city is peaceful.

The purple moon is whole again.

She walks through the silent streets.

Then she hears a voice behind her.

"You took your time."

Tsuki freezes.

She slowly turns around.

A young man is sitting on a distant wall.

His face is hidden in the moonlight.

Tsuki approaches him.

"Do I know you?"

The young man looks toward the purple moon.

He smiles sadly.

"No..."

He pauses.

"But I never forgot you."

Tears begin falling from Tsuki's eyes without knowing why.

She places her hand over her heart.

"Why does my heart feel like it knows you?"

The young man finally turns toward her.

It is Izumi.

He smiles.

He says:

"Because some souls don't need memories to remember who they love."

FINAL SCENE:

Izumi and Tsuki stand together beneath the enormous purple moon.

The silent city reflects across the water.

Their hands slowly reach toward each other.

The story ends with the words:

WHEN DREAMS FADE

Some goodbyes are forever.
Some souls aren't.

THE END.

To be continued…
The girl: cute Latina with warm olive-tan skin, beautiful sparkly almond-shaped dark-brown eyes, long eyelashes, and very long, thick, wavy-curly black hair with bangs across her forehead. She has a petite, elegant hourglass figure with a small waist and feminine curves. She is not very tall. Her face is slightly long-shaped but soft and cute. She wears a pretty pink dress with a modest neckline and full chest coverage, elegant and feminine.

The boy: very tanned skin, short dark hair with slightly spiky/curly hair at the front, warm dark-brown eyes that are more open in shape, a beautiful smile, and a very muscular build. He is not tall and is only slightly taller than her. His face is kind, warm, and gentle. He wears a simple black shirt with jeans.

The story flows naturally from one moment into the next: First, they are at a colorful arcade playing Tekken together. They are both holding controllers and completely focused on the game. She is laughing because he almost never wins, while he is intensely concentrating and determined to finally beat her.

Later, they are at home in their kitchen. He is cooking chicken curry for her while she watches. She comes up behind him and hugs him while he cooks. He asks her, “How does it smell?” She playfully smells him instead and says, “Hmm… you smell good.” He laughs “hey the chicken not me”.

He jokingly complains that her ice cream always tastes better, even though he has his own.

Folding the Sky
A one-shot manga story
Theme: Real strength isn't carrying everything alone — it's letting someone else hold part of the weight.
Genre: Slice-of-life / coming-of-age (yomikiri, ~30 pages)
Setting: A small seaside town, present day
Characters
Sora Kishida (16) — Class representative, top of her grade, always smiling. What no one knows: her father hurt his back last spring, so every night after homework she runs the family bakery's ovens alone until 2 a.m. She has decided that if she never looks tired, no one will worry, and if no one worries, nothing is actually wrong.
Renji Abe (16) — Sits by the window, barely talks in class. Every morning he folds one paper crane and leaves it somewhere in the school — a locker, a windowsill, a library book — for a stranger to find. He calls it "making sure nobody's day has a total of zero good things in it." He never signs them.
Story
Opening image: Dawn. Sora's hands, dusted white with flour, folding the bakery's shutters open. Cut to the same hands twenty minutes later, folding a hair ribbon straight, plastering on a smile as she steps into a classroom full of "Good morning, Kishida-san!"
The first act shows her holding it all together in small, exhausting ways — falling asleep for three seconds during a test and catching herself, waving off a friend's "you look pale," counting coins from the register while she should be sleeping. She's built a whole architecture of fine.
Renji notices what everyone else doesn't: the same girl who used to finish her lunch now barely touches it. One morning she finds a paper crane tucked into her shoe locker. She almost throws it away — she doesn't have room in her day for one more thing to take care of — but something makes her keep it in her pocket instead.
The middle act is built on small, glancing scenes: Renji folding cranes in the back of the classroom while Sora watches without meaning to. A rainy afternoon where their umbrellas end up under the same awning and neither of them says much, which is its own kind of relief. Sora starts finding a crane every few days. She starts, without noticing, looking forward to them.
The break: Two weeks before the school festival, Sora is supposed to finalize the class's entire event plan — on top of a full night shift because her father's pain has flared up again. She hasn't slept properly in four days. In the middle of presenting the plan to the class, her voice just — stops working. Not dramatically. Quietly. She stands at the front of the room and cannot make the next sentence come out, and for the first time all year, everyone can see that something is wrong.
She runs. Not far — just to the stairwell landing, out of sight. She sits down hard and, for the first time in the whole story, she cries like she means it.
Renji finds her there. He doesn't ask what's wrong. He sits one step below her and, without a word, starts folding a crane out of a page torn from his notebook. She watches his hands work in silence for a while.
"Why do you do that," she finally asks. "The cranes."
"Because some days the good thing has to come from outside, or it doesn't come at all." He holds it out to her. "You don't have to make your own good thing happen every single day, Kishida. That's not a rule anyone made. You made that one up."
She tells him everything then — the bakery, her father, the ovens, the counting of coins at midnight. It comes out messy and out of order and she apologizes for it, out of old habit, and he says: "Don't fold this one up neat for me. Just say it."
Resolution: She doesn't quit the bakery and her father doesn't magically heal — the story doesn't hand her a fix. What changes is smaller and more durable: she tells her homeroom teacher the truth, and the class festival gets restructured so three other students share the load she'd quietly been carrying alone. Renji starts walking her home some nights so she isn't doing the late shift in silence. It isn't rescue. It's company.
Closing image, mirrored from the opening: Dawn again. Sora's hands, flour-dusted, opening the shutters — except this time Renji is on the step outside with two coffees, waiting to help her carry the bread trays in. On the windowsill behind her, a whole small flock of paper cranes has collected over the weeks, wings overlapping, holding each other up.
Final panel, no dialogue: Sora folds a crane of her own for the first time — badly, lopsided, one wing longer than the other — and leaves it on someone else's desk before the bell rings.
Closing theme line (final text panel): "You don't have to fold your storm into something small enough to carry by yourself."

Linus deve avere sempre quattro zampe canine, proporzioni realistiche e postura naturale.

STILE E REGOLE

Manga giapponese in bianco e nero, dettagli accurati del pelo, forti contrasti, ombre naturali e tratteggi artistici. Nessun colore. Nessuna scritta. Nessun elemento grafico sovrapposto. Nessuna suddivisione in pannelli.

Create ONE COMPLETE traditional Japanese manga page in PURE BLACK AND WHITE, divided into EXACTLY FOUR sequential panels, following RIGHT-TO-LEFT manga reading order.

**ART STYLE:**
Highly detailed, authentic hand-drawn Japanese seinen manga, inspired by the contemplative atmosphere, realistic backgrounds, subtle emotions and cinematic storytelling of Inio Asano's Goodnight Punpun (Oyasumi Punpun).

Traditional pencil and ink illustration on manga paper. Extremely fine, delicate, organic linework, subtle imperfections, elegant contours, detailed hair strands, natural fabric folds and realistic architectural perspective.

The drawing must look completely finished and professionally illustrated by hand, NOT digitally generated. Use EXTREMELY MINIMAL hatching and crosshatching. Avoid heavy shadows, excessive black areas, dense textures, artificial gradients and glossy effects. Preserve clean white areas and delicate line-weight variations.

**CHARACTER:**
One slim teenage girl with straight, shoulder-length hair, wearing a plain white sleeveless tank top and short striped pajama shorts.

Maintain EXACTLY the same face, hairstyle, body proportions and clothing in every panel. Natural anatomy, realistic movements and subtle expressions.

**LOCATION:**
A small, modest bedroom containing a single bed, a desk with a computer beside the bed, and a closed bedroom door. Slippers rest on the floor beside the bed. Keep furniture placement consistent.

**PANEL 1 — OVERHEAD ESTABLISHING SHOT:**
Extreme bird's-eye view, camera directly above the bedroom, looking vertically downward.

The girl lies awake on her back in bed, with BOTH EYES OPEN, staring silently at the ceiling. Her head rests on a pillow, arms relaxed naturally beside her body.

Show the bed, desk, computer and surrounding bedroom. Quiet early-morning atmosphere. Detailed bedding and realistic room perspective.

**PANEL 2 — FLOOR-LEVEL CLOSE-UP:**
Extreme low-angle close-up, camera almost touching the bedroom floor.

Show ONLY the girl's TWO bare feet and lower legs as she lowers them from the edge of the mattress toward the floor. Her slippers are nearby.

Her face, torso and arms must remain outside the frame. Both legs must be anatomically correct, with no additional limbs.

**PANEL 3 — DIAGONAL MEDIUM SHOT:**
Three-quarter diagonal camera angle, approximately waist height.

The girl rises naturally from the edge of her bed, leaning slightly forward while placing her weight on her feet.

Her face is visible, showing a subtle, sleepy, contemplative expression. Correct human proportions, natural posture and realistic clothing folds.

**PANEL 4 — DISTANT SIDE-PROFILE SHOT:**
Wide cinematic shot, camera perpendicular to the girl's walking direction.

Show the girl's entire body in clear side profile as she walks slowly across the bedroom toward the closed door.

Her arms hang naturally, posture relaxed, expression neutral. The bed, desk and computer remain in their established positions. She has NOT opened the door.

**STRICT ANATOMICAL ACCURACY:**
Only ONE girl exists in the scene. She has EXACTLY TWO arms, TWO hands, TWO legs and TWO feet. No duplicated limbs, extra legs, extra feet, distorted joints, fused body parts or impossible poses.

Every limb must connect naturally to the body. Preserve realistic anatomy in all four panels.

**CRITICAL PANEL DIFFERENTIATION:**
Each panel MUST depict a different moment, pose, camera angle, framing and perspective.

Panel 1: overhead wide shot, girl lying awake.
Panel 2: floor-level close-up, feet approaching floor.
Panel 3: diagonal medium shot, girl standing up.
Panel 4: distant side-profile wide shot, girl walking.

Never duplicate, mirror, recycle or reuse previous panel compositions. No repeated portraits.

**FINAL REQUIREMENTS:**
EXACTLY FOUR PANELS ON ONE PAGE. Clear panel borders and traditional Japanese manga layout. Pure black and white. No color, dialogue, speech bubbles, captions, text or sound effects. No hallway or kitchen scenes.

Prioritize cinematic visual storytelling, delicate handmade manga aesthetics, accurate anatomy, consistent character design and extremely minimal hatching.

NEXT CHAPTER: THE FIRST PERSON WHO RECOGNIZED HIM
# The Beginning

## Genre

School, Slice of Life, Romance, Comedy, Coming of Age

## Setting

A modern school in Nepal. The story begins when the main character joins a new school and continues through Grade 10.

## Main Character

A quiet student who doesn't talk to many people. He is somewhat shy and tends to overthink things, especially when it comes to the girl he likes.

## The Girl

A quiet and kind girl from his class. She is beautiful, doesn't talk to many people, and has an interest in drawing.

---

# Chapter 1 — A New School

I was a quiet student who only talked to a few people.

When I joined a new school, I expected to see nothing but unfamiliar faces. I thought I would have to spend the year making completely new friends.

But I was wrong.

Among the students was my old best friend, who had moved to Pokhara two years earlier. I also found a few of my old friends there.

So, instead of being completely alone, I already had people I knew.

The entire year passed normally.

Classes. Friends. School days.

Nothing particularly special happened.

Except for one girl.

She was quiet and rarely talked to many people. She was also beautiful.

At first, she was simply another beautiful girl in my class.

I didn't know that she would eventually become someone very important to me.

---

# Chapter 2 — The Artist and Satapdi Ghar

One day, a popular artist visited our school.

He announced that students who were interested in drawing could visit a place called Satapdi Ghar, a more than 100-year-old historic house.

The girl and her best friend decided to go.

I didn't.

I wasn't very good at drawing, so I didn't think I had any reason to go.

But later, I found out that she actually liked drawing.

For some reason, that made me want to know more about her.

I eventually decided to send her a friend request on Facebook.

Then I waited.

After a few days, she accepted it.

That small notification made me happy, even though I tried not to think too much about it.

Everything continued normally after that.

# Chapter 3 — Truth or Dare

My first terminal examination ended, and I went to my hometown for vacation.

One day, while playing a game with my friends, one of them suggested a new rule.

Anyone who lost would have to complete a dare.

Everyone agreed.

I lost the first match.

Luckily, the first dare was simple, so I completed it easily.

After a few more rounds, I lost again.

This time, my cousin looked at me and asked:

"Truth or dare?"

I chose truth.

He asked me if I liked someone.

My genuine answer was yes.

Then another person asked me:

"Truth or dare?"

This time, I became nervous.

I was afraid they might ask me who the girl was.

So I chose dare.

The dare was simple:

"Show us her picture."

She was already on my Facebook friends list.

I opened her profile, hid her name, and showed them her picture.

Everyone laughed and started teasing me.

At first, I didn't mind.

Almost everyone had a crush on someone anyway.

But my cousin didn't have one, and he started teasing me more than everyone else.

Then the other two joined him.

Soon, all three of them were teasing me.

And somehow, I made things worse.

I started showing them her pictures almost every day, joking around as if she were already my girlfriend.

---

# Chapter 4 — They Found Her Name

One day, one of my friends decided to check my Facebook account to see whether she was actually my friend.

Around the same time, I found her TikTok account.

I showed it to my cousin.

He suddenly grabbed the phone from my hand.

He read her name.

They knew.

The secret was gone.

And there was still almost half of the vacation left.

From that day onward, they started teasing me using her actual name.

I told them to stop.

They didn't.

The entire rest of the vacation passed with them teasing me about her.

Eventually, my cousin returned to his school.

I thought the teasing would finally stop.

It didn't.

Every Friday, I visited my hometown, and my friends there continued saying her name in front of me.

I became genuinely annoyed.

But I kept thinking that eventually they would get bored and forget about her.

Days became weeks.

Weeks became months.

They never forgot.

The entire year passed like that.

# Chapter 5 — Grade 10

Grade 10 began normally.

But this time, I decided to do something I had been too nervous to do before.

I messaged her.

I opened Facebook Messenger.

I typed:

"hello"

She replied:

"hi"

It was only two words.

But I was extremely nervous.

The next day at school, I was scared that she might react differently after our conversation.

But she didn't.

She acted completely normal.

After that, I started noticing her more.

She was kind.

She was quiet.

She didn't talk to many people.

And I found myself becoming more interested in her.

---

# Chapter 6 — The Drawing

It was around the end of Baisakh.

I remembered that she liked drawing.

So I decided to draw her.

I wasn't a very good artist.

I tried making a proper sketch of her.

When I finished, I looked at it.

It was terrible.

I couldn't help laughing at myself.

But I didn't give up.

Instead, I tried making a simple outline drawing.

Somehow, it actually looked like her.

I was surprised that I had managed to make something recognizable.

Now there was only one problem.

I had to send it to her.

I stared at the drawing for a while.

I thought about sending it.

Then I became nervous.

I waited for a few hours, thinking about what I should do.

Finally, I opened Messenger.

I typed:

"Do you like drawing?"

I sent the message.

A few moments later, she replied:

"yup!"

I stared at the message.

It was a tiny conversation.

But to me, it felt like the beginning of something.

Create the opening scene of a realistic Japanese Shounen manga drama.

Scene 1 — "Grandfather's Hammer"

The story takes place in modern-day Tokyo, Japan, inside an old traditional Japanese blacksmith workshop attached to a small wooden house.

The main character is Ryu, a 29-year-old Japanese man. He is tall and lean, with a slender athletic build, short slightly messy black hair, dark brown eyes, and a calm, thoughtful expression. He is wearing simple dark indigo Japanese work clothes and a worn brown leather blacksmith apron. His hands show subtle signs of years of metalworking.

Ryu is standing alone in front of a heavy, old iron anvil inside the workshop.

He is forging a piece of glowing red-hot iron with a traditional blacksmith hammer.

Panel 1:
Wide establishing shot of the old Japanese workshop. Dark wooden walls, low ceiling, traditional blacksmith tools, old forge, charcoal, heavy iron anvil. Ryu is working alone in the center of the workshop. Warm orange light from the forge contrasts with the dark surroundings.

Panel 2:
Medium shot of Ryu raising the old hammer above the anvil. His face is calm and focused. Sweat and subtle traces of charcoal are visible on his skin. The atmosphere is quiet and intimate.

Panel 3:
Close-up of the hammer striking the glowing metal on the anvil. A small burst of bright sparks flies from the metal. Show highly detailed iron, sparks, charcoal and realistic blacksmithing textures.

Panel 4:
Ryu has stopped working and is holding the old hammer in his hand. He looks toward an old framed photograph hanging on the wooden wall. The photograph shows his deceased grandfather, an elderly Japanese man with white hair and a deeply wrinkled face.

Ryu has a subtle emotional smile as he looks at the photograph.

The final panel should feel nostalgic and mysterious, suggesting that the old hammer belonged to his grandfather.

Visual style:
Realistic seinen manga, cinematic Japanese drama, detailed black and white manga artwork with controlled grayscale shading, realistic anatomy, expressive but subtle facial expressions, strong chiaroscuro lighting, detailed backgrounds, realistic metal textures, cinematic composition, professional manga paneling, emotional atmosphere.

Do not make it comedic.
Do not use fantasy elements.
Do not use samurai armor.
Do not make Ryu muscular.
Do not make Ryu look like a teenager.
Do not use anime-style exaggerated eyes.
Do not add unnecessary characters.
No text outside the manga dialogue/captions.
Law is a strong delenkwente who studies in Japan, a school for strong delenkwente.
A shy new student meets a cheerful gyaru girl at school during winter. She smiles and introduces herself. Romance manga, shoujo style.
Create a professional black-and-white seinen manga page with exactly 4 panels, telling the beginning of a real autobiographical story about a Moroccan rapper named Diib.

PANEL 1:
A wide cinematic establishing shot of M'rirt, Morocco, at night. A quiet mountain town surrounded by dark Atlas mountains. Modest Moroccan houses, narrow streets, very few lights. The atmosphere is calm, mysterious and melancholic. Authentic Moroccan architecture. No fantasy elements.

PANEL 2:
Move closer to one modest Moroccan family house. It is nighttime. Most of the house is dark, but one room has a soft light coming from its window. The street outside is almost empty. The feeling should be intimate and mysterious.

PANEL 3:
Inside the house, a young Moroccan boy is standing quietly near the doorway of a room. He is listening to music. In the room, his father is sitting and playing a traditional Moroccan oud while singing. The father should look like a real Moroccan musician, not a stereotypical anime character. The boy watches him with curiosity and fascination.

PANEL 4:
Close cinematic shot of the father's hands playing the oud. The young boy is visible blurred in the background, watching carefully. Focus on the texture of the wooden oud, the strings and the father's hands. Strong black shadows and detailed manga linework.

VISUAL STYLE:
Serious autobiographical graphic novel, realistic seinen manga, gritty underground atmosphere, detailed black-and-white ink, dramatic shadows, traditional screentones, cinematic framing, realistic Moroccan environments, expressive but natural faces, professional printed graphic novel quality.

The four panels must feel like one continuous cinematic sequence. Maintain consistent characters, clothing, architecture and lighting between panels.

Do NOT add fantasy elements, superheroes, Japanese locations, colorful artwork, exaggerated anime expressions, or random characters.

The Girl Beneath the Stars
Ren spends most of his lunch breaks alone on the school's rooftop, sketching.
One evening, he discovers someone already there.
A girl is lying on the rooftop, staring at the stars.
Mio: "You're not supposed to be here."
Ren: "Neither are you."
She laughs.
Instead of leaving, she sits beside him.
Mio: "Then let's keep each other's secret."
Ren notices the star pendant around her neck.
That night, he sketches her without realizing it.
At the bottom of the page, he writes:
"The girl who looked like she belonged among the stars."

His room is neat. His school uniform hangs beside his desk. A few books are stacked beside a chessboard.

RENJI (thought):
New school.

He looks at the uniform.

RENJI (thought):
New people.

A pause.

RENJI (thought):
...New competition.

A tiny smile.

It somehow looks worse.

RENJI:
"...Great."

Renji walks through the school gates.

The campus is enormous.

Students fill the courtyard.

Conversations overlap everywhere.

STUDENT A:
"Did you finish the calculus assignment?"

STUDENT B:
"Almost. I got stuck on question twelve."

STUDENT C:
"Question twelve was easy."

Renji slows down.

He listens.

Another group walks past.

STUDENT D:
"The spectroscopy results don't match the predicted model."

STUDENT E:
"Because you're assuming the star is static."

Renji turns his head.

RENJI (thought):
...They're actually talking about this before class?

He smiles.

RENJI (thought):
Maybe this place won't be so bad.

The teacher checks.

TEACHER:
"Correct."

A few students whisper.

STUDENT:
"Already?"

Renji sits down.

Then another student raises their hand.

STUDENT:
"Wouldn't the answer change if we account for the variable you ignored?"

Renji looks over.

The teacher pauses.

TEACHER:
"...Actually, yes."

Renji's eyebrows rise.

RENJI (thought):
Oh.

He looks around the classroom.

For once, nobody seems particularly impressed by him.

And strangely...

He likes it.

Renji looks at it.

RENJI:
"...Ayane."

A student beside him notices.

STUDENT:
"You don't know her?"

RENJI:
"Not personally."

STUDENT:
"Then you're about to."

Renji looks over.

RENJI:
"What does that mean?"

The student points toward the top of the board.

STUDENT:
"She's been number one since she enrolled."

RENJI:
"How long?"

STUDENT:
"Since first year."

Renji's expression changes.

RENJI:
"And nobody's beaten her?"

The student laughs.

STUDENT:
"Nobody's even gotten close."

Renji looks back at the name.

AYANE.

RENJI (thought):
Interesting.

Another student joins the conversation.

STUDENT 2:

RENJI:

STUDENT 2:
"Yeah. Top grades. Perfect attendance. Wins basically every academic competition."

STUDENT:
"And she's ridiculously calm."

STUDENT 2:
"Don't bother challenging her."

Renji looks at him.

RENJI:
"Why?"

STUDENT 2:
"Because she'll beat you."

Renji smiles slightly.

RENJI:
"That's not really an answer."

The two students stare at him.

STUDENT:
"...You're actually going to talk to her, aren't you?"

RENJI:
"Probably."

After school.

Renji stops at the doorway.

He watches her for a moment.

So that's her.

She turns a page.

Renji knocks on the door.

KNOCK. KNOCK.

Ayane looks up.

Their eyes meet.

AYANE:
"Can I help you?"

Renji walks in.

RENJI:
"You're Ayane, right?"

AYANE:
"Last time I checked."

Renji pauses.

Then laughs.

RENJI:
"Okay. Fair."

Ayane closes her book.

AYANE:
"And you're Renji."

Renji raises an eyebrow.

RENJI:
"You know me?"

AYANE:
"You're second."

RENJI:
"...Right."

Renji pulls out a chair.

RENJI:
"Can I sit?"

AYANE:
"It's a free country."

He sits.

A moment of silence.

RENJI:
"I came here because I wanted to meet you."

Ayane looks at him.

AYANE:
"That's surprisingly direct."

RENJI:
"I've heard a lot about you."

AYANE:
"Good things, I hope."

RENJI:
"Mostly."

AYANE:
"Mostly?"

RENJI:
"Apparently you're impossible to beat."

Ayane smiles.

AYANE:
"Apparently."

Renji leans back.

RENJI:
"You don't seem very interested in defending the title."

AYANE:
"Should I be?"

RENJI:
"I don't know. If I were number one for that long, I'd probably get a little arrogant."

AYANE:
"And you aren't arrogant?"

Renji thinks.

RENJI:
"...I didn't say that."

Ayane laughs.

Renji smiles.

The tension disappears.

PAGE 10

They continue talking.

RENJI:
"So what do you actually like?"

AYANE:
"That's a broad question."

RENJI:
"Fine. What's something you could talk about for hours?"

Ayane thinks.

AYANE:
"Astrophysics."

Renji blinks.

RENJI:
"Seriously?"

AYANE:
"Why?"

RENJI:
"I didn't expect that."

AYANE:
"What did you expect?"

RENJI:
"Something boring."

AYANE:
"Like?"

RENJI:
"Accounting."

She gives him a deadpan look.

AYANE:
"You came into my classroom specifically to insult me?"

RENJI:
"I was testing you."

AYANE:
"How'd I do?"

RENJI:
"Pretty well."

PAGE 11

Ayane picks up a pencil.

AYANE:
"Okay. Astrophysics."

She draws a small diagram on a piece of paper.

AYANE:
"What's the most interesting thing about black holes?"

Renji looks at the drawing.

RENJI:
"That depends."

AYANE:
"On?"

RENJI:
"Whether you're asking about the physics or the implications."

Ayane pauses.

Then smiles.

AYANE:
"Go on."

Renji points at the diagram.

RENJI:
"People think the weirdest thing is that nothing escapes the event horizon."

AYANE:
"Isn't it?"

RENJI:
"Not to me."

He looks at her.

RENJI:
"The weird part is what happens to our understanding of time and space when you're close enough to one."

Ayane's expression changes.

She's interested now.

AYANE:
"Okay."

She leans forward.

AYANE:
"Explain."

PAGE 12

The conversation continues.

The afternoon sunlight slowly moves across the classroom.

Books lie open between them.

The chessboard on Renji's bag remains untouched.

RENJI:
"If you could actually see what happens beyond the horizon..."

AYANE:
"You couldn't send the information back."

RENJI:
"Exactly."

AYANE:
"So we'd never know."

RENJI:
"Maybe."

AYANE:
"That's frustrating."

RENJI:
"That's science."

Ayane laughs quietly.

AYANE:
"You're strange."

RENJI:
"I've been told."

AYANE:
"I meant it positively."

RENJI:
"I'll take it."

The classroom clock reads 5:41 PM.

Ayane looks at it.

AYANE:
"We've been talking for two hours."

Renji looks at the clock.

AYANE:
"Apparently."

RENJI:
"I didn't even notice."

Ayane closes her notebook.

AYANE:
"Neither did I."

A quiet moment.

Renji stands.

RENJI:
"I should probably go."

AYANE:
"Probably."

He reaches the doorway.

AYANE:
"Renji."

He turns.

RENJI:
"Yeah?"

AYANE:
"You said you came here because you wanted to meet me."

RENJI:
"Yeah."

AYANE:
"Did I meet your expectations?"

Renji thinks for a second.

Then smiles.

RENJI:
"No."

Ayane raises an eyebrow.

AYANE:
"Oh?"

RENJI:
"You exceeded them."

Ayane looks away, slightly caught off guard.

"...See you tomorrow, Renji."

RENJI:
"See you."

Chapter 4 — They Found Her Name

One manga page with exactly 4 panels, showing a darkly romantic and humorous first meeting between Doll, Hunter, and the real woman Doll is based on.

Panel 1:
Doll is walking through the herb garden with Hunter when they suddenly notice the real woman standing among the trees. She has long straight ginger-red hair gradually fading to almost blonde around her collarbones, slightly naturally messy, icy blue-gray eyes, and a naturally feminine, softly curvy figure. Doll freezes and stares at her. Hunter casually looks between them.

Panel 2:
Doll and the real woman cautiously approach each other. They simultaneously reach out and touch each other's ginger hair, staring in fascination as they realize how similar they are despite their differences. Hunter watches from behind them with a completely calm, unreadable expression.

Panel 3:
Doll suddenly grabs the woman's hands excitedly, smiling brightly. The woman starts laughing, already feeling strangely comfortable with her. Doll looks at Hunter and proudly gestures toward the woman as if introducing a long-lost sister. Hunter looks at the two identical personalities and seems to realize exactly what kind of evening he is in for.

Panel 4:
The two women stand shoulder-to-shoulder, looking at Hunter with the exact same amused, slightly mischievous smile. Hunter stares back, expression perfectly deadpan. Behind them, the dark garden is filled with moonlight, twisted plants, flowers, candles and a few skeletons casually sitting around a garden table as if they are watching the scene unfold. The mood is intimate, funny, eerie and strangely wholesome.

 manga style, black white.
