Office workers hurry toward train stations, holding coffee and checking their phones.
A bicycle passes beneath the morning sunlight.
The city feels alive.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
Tokyo.
A city where millions of people wake up every morning...
The camera slowly moves toward a residential neighborhood.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
...and sometimes, two people can live in the same world without ever knowing how close they really are.

INT. LILYA'S BEDROOM — MORNING
Sunlight enters through the curtains.
LILYA sleeps peacefully.
Her alarm clock suddenly rings.

She looks at the clock.
Her expression changes instantly.
LILYA
Huh...?
She sits up.
LILYA

She quickly gets out of bed.
Before leaving, she pauses for a second.
She closes her eyes and quietly folds her hands.
LILYA
Good morning, God...
Thank You for giving me another day.
She smiles.
Then remembers the time.
LILYA

She grabs her bag and runs out.

EXT. TOKYO STREET — MORNING
Lilya runs through the streets.

She looks at the school clock in the distance.

Nooo!
She runs even faster.

The classroom is already filled with students.
REN sits quietly at his desk.
His books are arranged perfectly.
His notebook is open.
His handwriting is neat.
He listens carefully while reading through his notes.
Ren is intelligent, calm and handsome, but he doesn't seem interested in getting attention.
He has a few friends, although he rarely talks unnecessarily.
Kuro walks toward him.
KURO
Hey, Ren! Good morning!
Ren doesn't respond.
Kuro waits.
Nothing.
Kuro's face slowly turns into an exaggerated angry expression.
KURO
Seriously?!
Ren continues reading.
Kuro folds his arms and turns away.
KURO
Fine. Ignore me, Mr. Perfect.
Ren quietly turns one page.

SCENE 5 — ATTENDANCE
INT. CLASSROOM — LATER
The teacher stands at the front of the class.
Students become quiet.
TEACHER
Alright, let's take attendance.
Names are called one by one.

Lilya?
Silence.
The teacher looks toward the door.
TEACHER
Lilya isn't here?
Suddenly—
LILYA (O.S.)
PRESENT, MA'AM!
The classroom door opens.
Lilya stands there, breathing heavily.
Everyone looks at her.
A few students start laughing.
Lilya becomes embarrassed.
TEACHER
You're late again, Lilya.
LILYA
I'm sorry, ma'am...
The class laughs again.
Lilya lowers her head.
Ren looks at her.
He doesn't laugh.
Instead, he simply watches quietly.
TEACHER
Alright. Go sit at your desk.
LILYA
Yes, ma'am.
Lilya walks to her seat.
As she passes Ren, their eyes briefly meet.
Only for a second.
Neither says anything.

The classroom is almost completely silent.
Ren is still there.
He is cleaning the desks and arranging the classroom.
He carefully puts everything back in order.
The door opens.
Lilya enters.
She stops when she sees him.
LILYA
Ren?
Ren looks at her.
LILYA
You're still here?
REN
Yeah.
She looks around.
LILYA
You've done enough for today. You should go home.
Ren's mood suddenly changes.
He has already had a frustrating day because of Kuro.
His voice becomes harsher than he intended.
REN
Just go away.
Lilya freezes.
REN
Leave me alone.
A short silence.
Lilya looks slightly hurt.
LILYA
Oh...
She lowers her eyes.
LILYA
Okay. Sorry.
She turns to leave.
Then she stops.
She looks back at him.
LILYA
Is something wrong with you?
Ren doesn't answer.
LILYA
Can I help?
REN
No.
A pause.
REN
Just... go away.
Lilya smiles gently instead of getting angry.
LILYA
Okay.
She walks toward the door.
Before leaving, she turns around.
LILYA
Stay happy, okay?
Ren looks at her.
LILYA
You're a good boy.
She gives him a small smile.
Then she leaves.
The door closes.
Silence.
Ren stands still.
For some reason, her words stay in his mind.
REN (THOUGHT)
Why...
He looks toward the door.
REN (THOUGHT)
Why did that make me feel strange?
He doesn't understand the feeling.
He simply goes back to cleaning.

The sun is beginning to set.
Ren walks out of the school.
Lilya is also leaving.
They walk in different directions.
A school guard calls out.
GUARD

They turn around.

They both leave.
Neither realizes they're heading toward the same neighborhood.

They both freeze.
Silence.
Their eyes meet.
Lilya's eyes widen.
Ren's expression changes.
LILYA
...Ren?
REN
...Lilya?
Neither moves.
A small blush appears on Lilya's face.
Ren looks away for a second, slightly embarrassed.
Then looks back.
LILYA
You... live here?
REN
Yeah.
A pause.
LILYA
Me too.
They look at their doors.
Then at each other.

Lilya gives a tiny nervous smile.
Ren doesn't know what to say.

Create a two-sided scientific educational comic / manga-style research abstract based on an MSc research project investigating whole-blood donation intensity, iron depletion and risk heterogeneity across ethnic groups.

The reader should begin by following one fictional regular blood donor and believing that everything is straightforward:

The story should then reveal that haemoglobin does not tell the entire story about iron stores, introduce ferritin and cumulative donation exposure, and finally zoom out from the individual donor to a population-level epidemiological investigation.
The comic must communicate scientific information accurately but accessibly.
Do NOT portray blood donation as dangerous or discourage donation.
The central message is:
